Fruit juice is packed with so much sugar that you may as well be eating candy. While some people think fruit juice is full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber – this couldn’t be further from the truth. You need to do some research and see that drinking fruit juice is not the same as eating the actual fruit and if you want to do your body some good you should just grab an apple, and avoid the apple juice altogether.

A popular sweetener, Agave should be avoided at all costs. The plant is used to make tequila and while it is considered natural it is not healthy and could send you to an early grave. Packed with fructose which is highly unhealthy, Agave is a deceptive little sweetener that tricks the body into thinking it is hungry when it is not and can lead to obesity, heart disease, and diabetes.

4. Sports Drinks

The colors of sports drinks give them away as not being a good addition to your diet and if you think you are doing yourself a favor by consuming them, think again. You may as well be drinking a soft drink when you consume a sports drink, and they can ruin your teeth and add weight onto your midsection. If you must use margarine, opt for the liquid variety or margarine in a tub or better still skip it and you can just enjoy your meal without the fats and margarine.
